PDF save dialog opened but no file appeared
RecallBase can open the browser PDF or print save dialog, but browsers do not tell the extension whether the user completed or canceled the final save.
Symptom
The PDF dialog appeared, but you cannot find the final PDF file.
Most likely cause
The browser save dialog was canceled, saved to a different folder, or blocked by browser print settings.
Fix it
Repeat the export and choose a known folder. If needed, use browser print preview settings to save as PDF.
- 1 Open Export Studio.
- 2 Choose PDF.
- 3 Select Save as PDF in the browser dialog.
- 4 Choose a known folder.
- 5 Confirm the file exists.
Verify it worked
Open the folder you selected and confirm the PDF exists.
What RecallBase cannot verify
RecallBase cannot detect final PDF save completion or locate files saved by the browser.
