Export AI conversations to Markdown
Markdown export is unlimited on Free and Pro. Use it when you want editable notes, frontmatter, role-labeled messages, and a clean handoff to local knowledge tools.
Before you start
Open a supported AI conversation in the browser extension or make sure the conversation exists in the local RecallBase CLI archive.
Export to Markdown
Shared Free/Pro capability table: Markdown is unlimited on Free and Pro. PDF is 3/day with a footer or watermark on Free and unlimited with no footer or watermark on Pro. Word/DOCX is 3/day on Free and unlimited on Pro. Image/PNG is watermarked on Free and has no watermark on Pro. JSON is unlimited. Notion is 3/day on Free and unlimited on Pro. Obsidian handoff and local RecallBase import are unlimited, but browser handoff cannot prove a final Obsidian note was created. Markdown exports can include frontmatter, source metadata, timestamps, role-labeled messages, and references to an assets folder when media is exported separately.
- 1 Open Export Studio.
- 2 Choose Markdown.
- 3 Review the filename.
- 4 Download or copy the Markdown output.
Limits
Markdown export does not require Pro and should not count toward PDF, Word, or Notion daily limits.
