Export AI conversations to Word

Word/DOCX export is available for one saved chat at a time. Free users get 3 successful Word downloads per local day; Pro removes that limit.

Choose Export to Word from the popup's Current chat menu.

Before you start

Open the conversation you want to export, or choose one saved capture with full text available. Word export is for one chat at a time.

Where to export Word

Word is available from the popup, floating button, right-click menu, and Export Studio.

  1. 1

Popup: choose Word from current-chat quick actions or from a saved chat detail page.

  2. 2

Floating button: choose Word while viewing the current chat.

  3. 3

Right-click menu: choose Export to Word on a supported chat page.

  4. 4

Export Studio: choose Word after previewing the chat.

Export to DOCX

Word export converts the same sanitized Markdown content to a .docx file and downloads it from the browser. Remote image fetching is disabled for Word conversion. See the Free and Pro limits in the capability table below.

  1. 1

Choose Word from the popup, floating button, right-click menu, or Export Studio.

  2. 2

Wait for the document to generate.

  3. 3

    Download the .docx file.

  4. 4

Open it in Word, Pages, Google Docs, or another DOCX editor.

What counts

Only completed .docx downloads count. Failed generation attempts should not consume a Free daily export.

When DOCX is better than PDF

Use Word/DOCX when the exported conversation needs comments, tracked changes, or editing in a document workflow. If the goal is a locked visual record, PDF is usually clearer. If the goal is long-term agent-readable notes, Markdown is lighter and unlimited on Free.
