Export AI conversations to Obsidian

Obsidian handoff is a browser-triggered action such as an obsidian:// link. RecallBase can start the handoff but cannot prove that Obsidian created the final note.

Before you start

Install Obsidian and confirm your browser is allowed to open obsidian:// links.

Shared Free/Pro capability table: Markdown is unlimited on Free and Pro. PDF is 3/day with a footer or watermark on Free and unlimited with no footer or watermark on Pro. Word/DOCX is 3/day on Free and unlimited on Pro. Image/PNG is watermarked on Free and has no watermark on Pro. JSON is unlimited. Notion is 3/day on Free and unlimited on Pro. Obsidian handoff and local RecallBase import are unlimited, but browser handoff cannot prove a final Obsidian note was created. Attachments and media handling depend on Obsidian and the user's vault setup.

  1. 1 Open Export Studio.
  2. 2 Choose Obsidian.
  3. 3 Approve the browser handoff to Obsidian.
  4. 4 Check your vault for the note.

Fallback

If the handoff does not create a note, export Markdown and import or paste it into Obsidian manually.
