Free daily export limit reached

Free includes 3 PDF, Word, Notion, and Google Docs exports per local day. Pro removes those limits once the extension refreshes your Pro status.

Symptom

The extension blocks a PDF, Word, or Notion export and shows “Free daily limit reached.”

Most likely cause

The local counter for that export type hit the Free daily limit. For PDF, RecallBase counts opening the browser PDF dialog, but the browser controls whether the file is actually saved.

Fix it

Use Markdown or local save — both are unlimited on Free — wait until tomorrow, or upgrade and refresh your Pro status.

Verify it worked

The extension shows Pro, or the export succeeds after the local day resets.

What RecallBase cannot verify

The website does not audit server-side export counts, and support will not ask for the exported conversation.

Continue without waiting

If the blocked format is not essential, switch to an unlimited local workflow: save the chat locally, export Markdown, or copy Markdown from Export Studio. Your work keeps moving while the PDF, Word, or Notion limit resets or the extension refreshes Pro status.

Check the format-specific path

The limit message names the blocked export path. PDF, Word, Notion, and Google Docs have Free daily limits. Markdown, text, JSON, Obsidian, local save, and copy Markdown are separate paths and may still be available, depending on the page and browser permissions. If you only need to preserve the content, use Markdown first and come back to the limited format later.

Avoid support data leaks

Support does not need the exported conversation to diagnose a limit prompt. Share the browser, extension version, account status, export type, and the visible error text. Do not send prompts, answers, screenshots of sensitive chats, cookies, tokens, or exported files.
