Export AI conversations to PDF
RecallBase opens the browser print/PDF save dialog for supported conversations. Free users get 3 opened PDF dialogs per local day with a compact footer; Pro removes the footer and limit.

Before you start
Open a supported AI conversation or a saved capture with full text available. If you are new, use the popup and choose PDF.
Where to export PDF
PDF is available from the popup, floating button, right-click menu, and Export Studio.
- 1
Popup: choose PDF from current-chat quick actions or from a saved chat detail page.
- 2
Floating button: choose PDF while viewing the current chat.
- 3
Right-click menu: choose Export to PDF on a supported chat page.
- 4
Export Studio: choose PDF after previewing the chat or selected messages.
Export to PDF
PDF export uses the browser’s print or save dialog. RecallBase theme and font controls affect the print layout, but final page size, margins, scale, and destination are controlled by the browser dialog. See the Free and Pro limits in the capability table below.
- 1
Choose PDF from the popup, floating button, right-click menu, or Export Studio.
- 2
Wait for the browser print or PDF dialog.
- 3
Choose Save as PDF if your browser asks for a destination.
- 4
Save the file from the browser dialog, then check your Downloads folder or chosen folder.
What RecallBase cannot verify
Browsers do not expose whether the user completed or canceled the final PDF save dialog.
Best use cases for PDF
Use PDF when you need a stable visual record of a conversation, a file that can be attached to an issue, or a document that should look the same for another reader. Use Markdown instead when you expect to edit, diff, quote, or feed the conversation into an agent workflow.
